Quoin Island Retreat is a privately owned, tranquil retreat covering 10 hectares of island habitat, and situated only 5 kilometres from Gladstone, on the Central Queensland costal region of Australia. With access to the Great Barrier Reef and all its natural wonders, we are in the heart of this World Heritage listed site. Quoin Island is a walking island with our miniature train and rail system transporting you back to yester year as we deliver you to and from the private jetty and our retreat.
Our event manager will arrange your personal transfer to the island via private boat or helicopter flight. Just a 15 minute boat journey from the Gladstone Marina, aboard one of our purpose built Quoin Island Retreat vessels, you’ll enjoy the Gladstone Harbour on your short cruise. Our fleet includes a 12 metre catamaran, plus alternative options for smaller parties or transport of goods. Helicopter flights can be arranged upon request, and may include a scenic tour of the harbour before landing.
Gladstone is located in Central Queensland and lies on the Tropic of Capricorn, approximately 530 kilometres north of Brisbane. We are a one hour flight north from Brisbane, or one hour drive south of Rockhampton. This region is scattered with National Parks and is also well known as the gateway to the Southern Great Barrier Reef, providing access to fantastic world class snorkelling. Regular flights to Gladstone are available via Brisbane with either Qantas or Virgin Australia. Once at Gladstone, you have a choice of travel options to get to the Gladstone Marina for your pick-up, or we can arrange your own personal transfer direct from the airport.
